In Jalandhar city, a case of slapping of a woman by the depot holder has come to light after inquiring about the free government wheat at the government ration shop (depot). Neerja Sharma, a woman resident of Dakoha, said that she had taken a receipt for free wheat from the depot. On Monday, when she went to the depot to inquire about wheat, depot operator Rajwinder Kaur got angry and slapped her.

Neerja said that her mother was also with her. When he asked the reason for slapping Rajwinder Kaur, he also twisted her arm. However, Rajwinder Kaur has completely rejected all the allegations. He said that if he has any evidence of slapping, then give it. While Neerja Sharma says that there is a CCTV camera installed near the depot and recording may have been done in it.

After the slapping incident, Neerja called the police helpline and registered her complaint. As soon as the complaint was received, the police reached the spot. The victim cried in front of the police and said that the wheat slip was given to her by Rajwinder Kaur herself. When asked about grains, he slapped. She will take legal action against the depot holder.

Meanwhile, a person accompanying Neerja alleged that the government ration depot should be in a shop outside but Rajwinder Kaur is also running the government shop from home due to her political approach. The license of the depot holder should be canceled and given to a new person and the depot should also be converted into a shop.
