Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has released an amount of Rs. Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Dr. According to the guidelines of Baljit Kaur, 4 crore 7 lakh 49 thousand rupees have been released for the Scheduled Castes and 3 crore 69 lakh 75 thousand rupees for the backward classes and economically weaker sections in the amount released for district Patiala.
Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said that under Ashirwad scheme, 7 crore 77 lakh 24 thousand rupees have been released in Patiala district, with which 1524 beneficiaries will be provided an amount of 51 thousand rupees each. He said that 4 crore 7 lakh 49 thousand rupees were released for the beneficiaries of scheduled castes.
The benefit of which will be given to 799 scheduled caste beneficiaries of the district. Similarly, 3 crore 69 lakh 75 thousand rupees have been released for the beneficiaries of the backward classes and economically weaker sections, in which 725 beneficiaries of the backward classes and economically weaker sections of the district will be covered.
He said that under the Ashirwad scheme, girls of Christian community, widowed girls of any caste, backward classes and economically backward families at the time of marriage and scheduled caste widows/divorced women at the time of their remarriage Rs.51000/- Financial assistance is given as an omen.
District Social Justice and Empowerment Officer Mukul Bawa said that the amount received is being sent to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT mode and the government is also releasing the amount to the remaining beneficiaries soon.
