Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to protect the interests of all sections of the people of the state.
Giving more information, Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Dr. Baljit Kaur said that Mr. Rajesh Kumar Mehra, Village and Post Office Lakhanpal, District Jalandhar had filed a complaint with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India that house no. 3, Arvind Kumar (Bhoya), a resident of Unkar Nagar, Phagwara, District Kapurthala, has produced a Scheduled Caste certificate despite belonging to the caste. While this Bhoya caste is not included in the list of scheduled caste of Punjab state.

The Cabinet Minister further said that after the investigation of the case by the department, Arvind Kumar’s Scheduled Caste certificate has been confirmed to be fake.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that our department has written to the Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala requesting to cancel and confiscate the Scheduled Caste Certificate No. 98 dated 01.02.1989 of Arvind Kumar and if the concerned person availed the SC certificate. If it has gone, that too should be taken back.
