This time, during the search operation conducted by the jail administration, they recovered only one mobile phone from a prisoner. The jail administration seized the mobile phone from the prisoner and registered a case against him in Ferozepur police station.
Giving information, Assistant Jail Superintendent Sukhjinder Singh said that during the search in the jail, a phone with a keypad was recovered from Hawalati Salim, a resident of Ferozepur. ASI Gurmail Singh of Thana City said that a case has been registered against the accused under the Jail Act and other sections and investigation has been started.
Let it be known that the state government is taking strict action regarding the mobile phones reaching the people locked in the jails of the state, under which the superintendent of Ferozepur jail has been changed. At present the person who has been appointed as the Superintendent of Jails is benefiting to a large extent because of his background in the paramilitary force.
