New Delhi : Journalism is completely based on field work. Journalism is incomplete without field work. But, now in Hindi literature also field work based books are being written on the lines of journalism or rather the trend of field work based creative writing is gradually increasing in Hindi as well. The writing of field work can be authentic and effective only when the creator’s own life is integral to it. The stories of Lokbabu’s collection ‘Jangalgatha’ are special in this sense, because Lokbabu himself is present in the life coming here.

Lokbabu’s creation is a new step

Well-known critic and former head of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Prof. Shambhu Gupta, while inaugurating the Jungle Gatha, said that new aesthetics are needed for such writings, because traditional aesthetics cannot really evaluate such creations. In this inauguration ceremony organized at the World Book Fair, Prof. Gupta said that after Bastar, Jungle Gatha is a new step in Lokbabu’s creativity.

Why are we oblivious to real life

Senior critic Prof. Jeevan Singh said on the occasion that our writing world is surrounded by middle-class areas and we are oblivious to the real life coming from within. In such an environment, the importance of writers like Lokbabu increases a lot, who create their creation world by breaking the middle class circles. He described Lokbabu’s writings as the development of the tradition of Phanishwarnath Renu and Rangeya Raghav. Critic Prof. Madhav Hada, who came from Udaipur, described Lokbabu’s writings as the representative writings of the new era and said that he inscribed the life of the marginalized deeply. Pallav, editor of Banas Jan, said that this collection has a story like Mujrim which highlights a completely different and tragic experience of farmer suicide. Pallav said that the world of Hindi writing has been further enriched by the activism of writers like Lokbabu.

Kanak Jain introduced

Earlier Pranav Johri, director of publisher Rajpal & Sons, welcomed the guests and informed about the upcoming fiction books from his publishing house.
