The upcoming alleged feature is said to allow users to quickly access their contact list and make calls without opening the app. This feature will allow users to set custom shortcuts for frequently called contacts. With this, users will be able to make phone calls faster.
The feature will come on the home screen
According to the report of WABetaInfo, the new calling shortcut feature of WhatsApp will be integrated with the app. In the WhatsApp calling shortcut feature, users will get the facility of calling in a single tap. The report suggests that the new feature will be automatically added to the home screen of the device once used.

13 lakh accounts banned without complaint
Meanwhile, an instant messaging platform said that it has banned 36.77 lakh accounts in India in November, which is marginally less than the number of accounts banned last month. The company says that it has taken immediate action on more than 13 lakh accounts without receiving complaints.
1,607 complaints in December
WhatsApp has said in its report that it received 1,607 complaints in December, which is 70 percent more than the previous month’s 946 complaints. Out of 1,607 complaints, 1,459 i.e. 91 per cent complaints were about account blocking. However, the company took action only on 164 complaints. Let us tell you that according to IT Rules 2021, social media platforms like WhatsApp have to give monthly reports. In such a situation, WhatsApp tells every month that what decision was taken on which accounts in violation of the rules.
