His lawyer had claimed that all the allegations against Manpreet Singh Badal are baseless. They have full hope that they will get justice from the High Court.
Earlier, the vigilance team raided 6 states including Himachal, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Rajasthan in search of Manpreet Badal, but no trace of him was found. Now the team is continuously raiding the houses of their relatives. But till now she has not been able to reach Manpreet Badal.
There is an allegation of fraud in the plot purchase case
A case of fraud in buying a plot in Bathinda has been registered against Manpreet Badal. They are accused of buying two plots at a low rate with the connivance of Bathinda Development Authority officials. Due to which the government has suffered a loss of 65 lakh rupees. Not only this, Manpreet conspired to grab the plot in 2018 while still being the finance minister. After which a fake bid was made. Later they bought plots in the name of two specific persons and entered into illegal agreements with them.
