The Vigilance Bureau Punjab has arrested the fugitive accused Gurdeep Singh who has been absconding for about 3 years and 5 months in the case of embezzlement in the land of Improvement Trust Jalandhar. A total of 12 accused have been arrested in this case so far and the search for the rest is on.

Giving information in this regard, a spokesperson of Vigilance Bureau said that 94.97 acres of land was acquired by Improvement Trust Jalandhar in Suria Enclave Extension. 5,49,18,523 (Five Crore Ninety Lakh Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred and Thirteen) Rs. The concerned police station was registered at Nawan Barandari Jalandhar.

Later, the further investigation of this case was handed over to the Vigilance Bureau. The spokesperson further said that an amount of Rs.2,12,76,211 was embezzled by the accused Gobind Ram, involved in this case, by preparing fake documents with the connivance of the officials/employees of the Improvement Trust and out of this amount, Rs.7,00,000 was transferred to the accused Gurdeep Singh. had obtained it from accused Gobind Ram through cheque.

The spokesman said that accused Manjit Sharma, Sukhdev Singh Patwari, Prem Prakash, lawyer Mohit Bhardwaj, lawyer Deepak Sadana, Amandeep Singh, Kulwant Singh, Jatinder Kumar Sharma, Tarlok Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Surinder Kumar Cashier involved in this case have already been arrested. has been done The Vigilance Bureau is conducting raids at their residences and other places to arrest the remaining absconding accused, who will also be arrested soon.
