A video of jailed Congress leader Sarvotam Singh alias Lucky Sandhu wearing bhangra at a wedding function has surfaced. He is in jail under serious sections. Sandhu feigned illness in the jail, after which the jail administration handed him over to the district police for medical check-up at PGI Chandigarh, from where he reached a wedding function in Raikot and wore bhangra.

Two criminal cases have been registered against Sahnewal Youth Congress leader Sandhu for blackmailing city businessman Gurveer Garcha with an Instagram influencer and assaulting a witness in the case.
The police arrested him on September 16, 2023 for allegedly assaulting a witness. According to the complainant Gurveer Garcha, on December 8, Sandhu had come to a wedding ceremony in a palace near Raikot. After this he went back to jail. He had e-mailed a video of him dancing to singer Angrez Ali's songs at a wedding to Chief Minister Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav.
After this, the police took immediate action and suspended Sub-Inspector Kuldeep Singh and ASI Mangal Singh. According to Jail Superintendent Shivraj Singh, the two employees took him to the PGI for a check-up and left him back in the jail around 5 pm. He has also obtained information in this regard from senior officials. Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal said that this matter is on December 8 and the complaint was received the next day.
On December 10, the sub-inspector and ASI were suspended. The matter is being investigated departmentally. Not only this, the role of the medical officer posted in the jail will also be investigated. They took him from the prison hospital to PGI. was referred If his role is found questionable then action will be taken against him also.
Let us tell you that there are eight criminal cases registered against Lucky Sandhu. He has been the village president of the district youth congress and this time he was contesting for the post of general secretary.
But before that he was arrested after registering a criminal case. The first criminal case against him was registered in 2013, followed by two criminal cases in 2017 of defying government orders in Chandigarh, then Kumkallan, Kharar, Model Town Mohali, in 2017. Two cases have been registered in Sahnewal.
