Bihar Governor-cum-Chancellor Fagu Chauhan on Monday appointed Prof. Shashi Pratap Shahi as Vice-Chancellor of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya and Prof. Braj Raj Kumar Sinha as Vice-Chancellor. The tenure of the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor will be three years from the date of assuming charge. The Governor’s Secretariat has issued an official notification in this regard.

Discussion between the Governor and the CM

According to official information, these appointments have been made after talks between Governor Fagu Chauhan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at Raj Bhavan. In the conversation, there was a discussion regarding the appointment of Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. This decision has been taken after effective and meaningful consultations on the panel presented by the Search Committee constituted to recommend a panel of names along with the State Government for appointment.

Professor Shashi Pratap Shahi is working as Principal of AN College Patna

Professor Shashi Pratap Shahi, appointed as the Vice Chancellor, is currently working as the Principal of AN College, Patna. It is worth mentioning that for the last one and a half years in Magadh University, the work was being conducted through the in-charge Vice-Chancellor and in-charge Vice-Chancellor. Now after the appointment of the permanent Vice-Chancellor, there is hope that the educational and administrative system will be back on track.

Magadh University’s CCDC Prof SNP Yadav Deen expressed happiness

Expressing happiness on the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor, CCDC Prof SNP Yadav Deen of Magadh University has said that there is a possibility of improvement in the deteriorating condition of MU. Presently Vice-Chancellor of Nalanda Open University, Patna, Prof. KC Sinha was in additional charge of Vice-Chancellor of MU.
