Bureau report : In Jagraon, a physically challenged person has been beaten to death with a sharp weapon. His body has been recovered from the house, the identity of the deceased is being told as Jaswinder Singh Jassi. He lived alone in Kothe Rahla area. When Jassi did not open the shop on Tuesday, the neighbors became suspicious and immediately informed the police. SSP Navneet Singh Bains arrived at the spot along with the police party. The police entered the house through the neighbor’s roof, Jassi’s body was found inside the house. There were marks of attack with a sharp weapon on his body. There was a belt around the neck, the police took possession of the body and sent it to the hospital.
Mother said last time we talked at night
Jassi’s mother Pritam Kaur said that her son Jaswinder lived alone in the house, and spoke to Jassi on the phone late at night. He had told that he has returned home after serving in Dharamshala, Jassi has had 2 marriages before. He has also divorced both his wives. Jassi had no children, he opened a grocery shop to earn his living.
SSP Bains said the case is suspicious
SSP Navneet Singh Bains said the case is suspicious. Currently, the body has been taken into custody and kept for post-mortem. After the postmortem report, the cause of death will be known, the police is investigating the matter.
