The Union Minister said that under the supplementary nutrition program in the year 2019-20, an amount of Rs 22959 crore, Rs 26033 crore in 2020-21 and Rs 17595 crore has been allocated in 2021-22. An amount of Rs 19206 crore has been released for ICDS general in 2019-20, Rs 19750 crore in 2020-21, Rs 17702 crore in 2021-22. The district-wise details of the amount released to the state government and administration under the Anganwadi Services Scheme are not kept at the central level. The amount released under the Anganwadi Service Scheme is spent under various components of this scheme for honorarium to Anganwadi workers, helpers, medicine kits, pre-school kits, uniforms for Anganwadi workers, administrative, rent and equipment in Anganwadi center .

Center’s funds should be put to good use

The Union Minister clearly told in the House that the operation and maintenance of Anganwadi centers is done by the State Government. Anganwadi center mainly works like nutrition, pre-school education of children. The Union Minister said that in the last 2 years, 1162 Anganwadi centers have been reviewed in Ranchi parliamentary constituency. After this reply, MP Sanjay Seth said in a statement that according to the way funds are released to Jharkhand by the central government, the way funds are released for welfare schemes, the state government should conduct it seriously. And the schemes should be implemented with full transparency. Jharkhand government should work in this direction to make good use of the zodiac signs.
