Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated many big projects in Punjab

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari reached Hoshiarpur in Punjab on Wednesday. Here he inaugurated 29 projects worth 4 thousand crore rupees. On this occasion, he announced projects worth 12 thousand crore rupees. He said that green field highway will be built from Ludhiana to Bathinda. It will be 75 km long. 2 thousand crore rupees will be spent on it.

After this, the distance from Ludhiana to Bathinda will be fixed in 45 minutes. It will be built by December 2025. With which there will be connectivity with Halwara Airport. He said that the work of 4 lane highway from Amritsar Airport to Ramdas will be completed in 2024. This will make the road to Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor easier. The 13 km road up to Samrala Chowk in Ludhiana will be completed by January 2024.

The most important of these projects is the 9 km long four-lane section of the Jalandhar-Kapurthala road on NH 703 A from Hoshiarpur at a cost of Rs 40 crore. Apart from this, 3 minor bridges on Jalandhar-Makhu road on NH 703 A are to be repaired. Also inaugurated Dakoha underpass located on Jalandhar-Phagwara (NH 44) highway. It has been prepared at a cost of Rs 14 crore. With which the people of Dakoha and Waring area will get great convenience in commuting on the highway.

Nitin Gadkari also inaugurated the four-lane Ladowal Bypass connecting GT Road and National Highway 5 in Ludhiana. Construction of Ladowal Bypass will connect Ludhiana-Firozepur Highway with Delhi-Jalandhar Highway (NH 44). Meanwhile, the foundation stone of Phagwara and Hoshiarpur bypass as well as Phagwara Hoshiarpur four lane was also laid.

The construction of four lanes between Phagwara and Hoshiarpur will provide connectivity at a speed of 100 km per hour. This trip will be reduced from one hour to 30 minutes. The construction of the bypass will also provide relief to the people living in the city from congestion.

Hoshiarpur will have direct connectivity with National Highway 44 (GT Road). Along with this, the foundation stone of the railway overbridge was also laid in Kanganiwal village of Jalandhar under Setu Bandhan Yojana. It is being built in the 46 km long Jalandhar Bypass Project.

A total of 9 projects are being built in Amritsar, Kapurthala and Ludhiana districts. The foundation stone for making Ferozepur bypass four lanes was also laid. The foundation stone for the construction of railway overbridge was laid at village Gehri Mandi and Tarn Taran between Kartarpur-Amritsar. The foundation stone of the two-lane railway bridge at Sultanpur Lodhi-Makhu has been laid.
