Today we see how our cricketers have become the stars of the world, time has come when players are making a name for themselves in sports other than cricket.
The players get the benefit of the government scheme
Anurag Thakur said that many such schemes including Khelo India are being run by the government today, where all the arrangements are being made for the players and we are getting to see the results. This is the first time that India has won more than 100 medals in the Asian Games. Today's India is doing its job and the results are coming automatically.
The Union Minister said that earlier the players had to face a lot of difficulties but today the government is bearing all the expenses of the players under the Khelo India Tops scheme. Not only this, 6 lakh rupees are also given separately, our government has built more than 1 thousand sports centers and this is just the beginning. If we get help from the state government, we can take a big leap in this.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said that media can give you recognition to players, which is more important than money. I did not want to quit cricket, but family circumstances became such that I had to quit the game. I became the president of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association at the age of 25 and at the age of 26 we built a cricket stadium in Dharamsala. After that, the ways of politics opened up and maybe if that stadium had not been built, I would not have become a member of the Lok Sabha four times.
Anurag Thakur spoke openly about the preparations for the Paris Olympics. He said that in the previous Olympic Games, we had prepared the players during Corona, even before that we had trained the players abroad. Mirabai Chanu was injured, the government got her treated in America and later she also won a medal. Our athletes have created history not only in the Tokyo Olympics but also in the Paralympics.
