PM Modi to invite Indian team to participate in Tokyo Olympics on August 15

Prime Minister Narendra Modi (August 15) will invite the Indian team participating in the Tokyo Olympics as a special guest at the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort. He will also personally meet and interact with the players participating in the Games.

In hockey too, the Indian men’s and women’s teams have won the hearts of sports fans with their outstanding performances. Both the teams reached the semi-finals where the men’s team lost the semi-final match to Belgium. The Indian men’s team may have lost the semi-final match but their performance has raised hopes for the future. India may have lost their semi-final match to Belgium, but the spirit of Manpreet Singh’s team has been hailed by the entire country, including PM Modi. Encouraging the players, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that defeat or victory is a part of life. After the semi-final match, PM Modi spoke to the captain of the Indian hockey team on the phone. He lauded the excellent performance of the Indian team throughout the tournament and wished them all the best for the upcoming match.
