Train accident in Bihar

The news of a train accident has come to light in Bihar. Five coaches of the Satyagraha Express train got separated from the engine near Majhaulia station in Beitia, Bihar, causing panic among the passengers. Currently, there is no news of any loss of life in this accident.

The engine of 15273 Satyagraha Express derailed near Mahodipur Rail Gumti between Majhaulia-Betia railway station on Narkatiyaganj-Muzaffarpur railway line. Several bogeys were left behind.

According to information, 15273 Satyagraha Express departed with engine and some bogies, after which five bogies started running on the track without engine. However, the engine was only 100 meters ahead with the bogies before the driver came to know about it. The driver stopped the four bogies along with the engine by applying emergency brakes. After this all the bogies were reconnected and the train started running. Meanwhile, the train stood at the gate for about 15 minutes.

Regarding this incident, Rakesh Kumar, a passenger in the train, said that when the train opened from Majhauliya, it was moving intermittently but the driver did not pay attention. As soon as they reached Mahodipur Gumti, there was a shock and the pilot took off with four bogies along with the engine.

While 18 bogies started running on the track like this. Officials of East Central Railway reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. He inspected the spot. It is being told that the accident occurred due to the sudden breakage of the coupling used to connect the bogies.
