If Shubman Gill thinks of improving his performance in the current Test series, his terrible Test record against England is scary. He has played 5 Test matches against England so far, in which he has scored only 140 runs at an average of 17.50. Meanwhile, he has been able to touch the figure of 50 runs in only one innings. Out of the 5 Tests played against England, Gill has played only 4 Tests on Indian grounds, in which he has scored 119 runs at an average of 19.83.
Gill has to change 'history'
Meaning, the record against England is neither good overall nor on Indian grounds. Now in such a situation, they have to reverse the history of this bad record and that too before it is too late. That means, Gill will have to start from the first Test to be played in Hyderabad. Due to this good performance, Rohit and Dravid's trust in them can be restored. Otherwise, failure in the first two matches of the Test series against England will mean Shubman Gill's way out of the Indian Test team.
