Last night, thieves stole the wires of solar plants installed in dozens of farmers' fields in many villages of Balluana Vidhan Sabha constituency of Abohar, Punjab. The price of which is said to be lakhs of rupees. In the morning, as soon as the farmers came to know about the theft in their fields, they informed the Sadar police station, on which ASI Lekhraj reached the spot and started the investigation.

Farmers Sarabjit Singh, Gurmukh Singh, Sunny Nagpal and Paramjit of village Bahadurkhera and Malukpur said that thieves have targeted more than 20 solar plants in the villages. Thieves have cut the copper wires of the solar plants in the fields that run the water motors. The value of the wires stolen from the solar plant is around 25 to 30 thousand rupees. Due to this, the farmers have suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees.

The thieves killed farmers Satwant Singh, Ranjit Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Tejinder Singh, Ajit Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Gurcharan Singh of Bahadurkhera and Tilak Raj, Tej Parkash, Inderjit Singh, Ramesh Kumar, Sukhwinder Kumar, Surinder Singh, Sukhchain Singh, farmers of Malukpura. The solar plants of Arshdeep Singh etc. have been stolen. He has demanded from the police team that reached the spot to find out the thieves and take immediate action against them.

He said that on one side, the canal was blocked and on the other side, after the theft of the solar plant, the motor for applying water has also stopped and now it has become a place to get money for getting new ones. They have demanded from the government to put a stop to the incidents of theft and provide financial help to them for the loss.
