Then after keeping him hidden for a few months in a city near the US border, they told us on the phone that their man has reached America and also took the due amount from him. After 5 months her husband returned home. He came here and told that travel agent Harjinder Singh along with his colleagues had cheated him a lot. They also took Rs 35 lakh and did not even send it to America.
Whenever her husband asked them for money back, they used to threaten to kill him further, due to which his husband became disturbed. Taking advantage of her husband’s distress, some bookies lured her into their trap and gave her false comfort that if she bet, all her losses would be recovered. By doing this, she cheated 8 lakh rupees from her husband. Now Ulta was blackmailing him and demanding more rupees from him.
Last night, her husband was saddened by all these and left home and on reaching Phillaur, he committed suicide by jumping in front of the train. Before her death, her husband revealed the names of travel agent Harjinder Singh and Ludhiana resident partner Preet, apart from blackmailing bookies Karan, Ishant, Simran, Vicky and Lali, who harassed her all the time, due to which He had to take a step like suicide. The police registered a case on the statements of the deceased’s wife and took possession of the deceased’s mobile phone, from which he had sent messages before his death.
