On the second day of the ongoing Legislative Assembly of Punjab, the issue of old pension and DA of employees has been raised. During the zero call, Leader of the Opposition and MLA Pratap Singh Bajwa asked a question while speaking in the Vidhan Sabha. Pratap Singh Bajwa said that lakhs of employees of Punjab are looking to the government that the old pension will be implemented and till when the remaining balance of DA will be paid.
Speaking, he said that the old pension scheme was announced by the Punjab government and the finance minister last year, but it has not been implemented yet. He also said that the employees are still owed 12 percent DA, till when will it be given. He said that when the Punjab government is saying that the government has no shortage of money, then why is it not being implemented.
