Sikh Gurdwara Act-1925: The Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will amend the Sikh Gurdwara Act-1925 by taking a historic decision with the aim of ensuring free transmission of the Holy Gurbani from Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar.

Giving detailed information about this, the Chief Minister said that the resolution regarding this will be passed in the meeting of the Council of Ministers to be held on June 19 (Monday). He said that after this this resolution will be presented in the House during the special session of the Legislative Assembly to be held on June 20. Bhagwant Mann said that this decision has been taken according to the sentiments of the Sikh community worldwide.

The Chief Minister said that it is the need of the hour to spread universal Gurbani all over the world with the aim of spreading the universal message of the good of all. Bhagwant Mann said that instead of giving the right to broadcast Gurbani to one channel, it should be broadcast completely free. He said that this step of the Punjab government will help the Sangat in the country and abroad to pray Gurbani.

At the same time, the Chief Minister said that with this, the Sangat will not be able to watch their TV. It will also be open to visit Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib through sets or other devices. Bhagwant Mann said that this decision will help in spreading the message of Holy Gurbani in every corner of the world. He said that instead of allowing the access of Gurbani to be restricted through a single medium, the message of the good of all and brotherhood should be spread freely to the Sangat.
