Punjab Government Office Timing: The decision of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to change the timings of government offices in the state has been praised at the international level. It should be noted that the U.A.E. The based newspaper ‘Gulf News’ has lauded this step and advocated the Indian government to implement this decision across the country.
Giving information about this, the Chief Minister said that this pro-people initiative has been fully appreciated by ‘Gulf News’. He said that the appreciation of this step by the international media has filled him with the spirit to serve the people with more humility and responsibility. Bhagwant Mann said that it has also witnessed the stand of the Punjab government to take any decision for the welfare of the state and the happiness of the people.
The Chief Minister said that the day is not far when Punjab will lead the country and show the way for people’s welfare. He said that the need of the hour is that we should all contribute to the socio-economic progress of the country. Bhagwant Mann said that international media reports are proof that Punjab is leading the country in matters related to public interest.
It is to be noted that “Gulf News” has praised this noble initiative of the Chief Minister in its latest story. The leading newspaper further said that India should adopt Bhagwant Mann’s decision to change office timings from 7:30 am to 2 pm. It said that the Punjab Government of India has changed the office timings and considering this initiative, this decision should be adopted across the country in the larger public interest.
It may be mentioned that the Punjab government has recently changed the office hours from 9 am to 5 pm to 7:30 am to 2 pm keeping in mind the larger public interest. Besides providing convenience to the people at a large scale, the state government is saving 350 MW of electricity daily through this step. This first-of-its-kind initiative will solve the problem of traffic jams in cities and save around Rs 50 crore.
