4 out of 5 Punjab soldiers martyred in Jammu and Kashmir terrorist attacks

Among the soldiers who were martyred during the attack by terrorists on an army vehicle in Sangyot of Poonch yesterday, a soldier from Talwandi Bharathwal, a village near Batala, was martyred. Shaheed Harkishan Singh (27), son of Mangal Singh, a resident of Talwandi Bharatwal, was serving in the 49 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion. On hearing the news of the martyr, a wave of mourning has spread in the area.

Shaheed Harkishan Singh joined the army in 2017. Shaheed has left behind his wife and a 3-year-old daughter. Daljit Kaur, wife of Shaheed Harkishan Singh, said that on Thursday they had a conversation through video call and her husband had a long talk with his daughter Khushpreet Kaur through video call. It may be mentioned that Shaheed Harikishan went back to his duty after taking leave in the month of February.
