According to the report, the auction was held on the 25th anniversary of the 1997 NBA Finals. This match was played between Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz. This match is known as one of the best games of Michael Jordan’s illustrious career.
After the finals were over, Michael signed his sneakers and gave them to ball boy Truman as a gift. In fact, Truman used to bring applesauce to Michael before the game started. Michael was so impressed by her that he gifted her his precious shoes.
According to Goldin’s site, the Truman Jazz put the shoes up for auction in gray flannel to sell after 15 years. For the first time, a bid of $105,000 (i.e. Rs. 86,15,302.50) was made in the shoe auction.
