Under the campaign, the Morinda Sadar Police have succeeded in arresting a young man with 40 grams of drug powder from the tea point of village Ranjitpura on the Morinda Kurali road.
Giving information in this regard, Inspector Harsh Mohan Gautam SHO Morinda Sadar Police said that ASI Surinder Singh along with the police party was present at the T point of village Ranjitpura on the Morinda-Kurali road for the search of bad elements and drug smugglers, when a young boy was standing on the road. C who got scared seeing the police and started going towards Ranjitpura village. He was arrested by ASI Surinder Singh with the help of a police party and 40 grams of narcotic powder was recovered from him.
Inspector Harsh Mohan Gautam said that during the interrogation after arresting the young man, the young man identified himself as Mandeep Singh alias Deepi son of Tarlochan Singh, resident of Ward No. 2, Jogiwala Mohalla Morinda, Police Station Morinda Urban. He said that further proceedings have been started by registering a case number 22 under sections 21/61/85 of the NDPS Act against the arrested youth Mandeep Singh alias Deepi.
