According to information, Nihang Singh Baldev was working as a driver. On Thursday night he came back from work and was going to the doctor to get medicine. The youth attacked him on the head and forehead with sharp weapons near the Daba Police Station on Sua Road. The miscreants even beat him up. Later he died on the road.
On Wednesday, Baldev and his colleagues found cold water together. Meanwhile, Baldev got into an argument with the youth about something. Baldev attacked the said youth with a stick. The family suspects that the said youth killed Baldev in this enmity. The family alleges that the said youth is selling drugs in the area. The police had arrested him a few days ago, but he had come out of jail.
ACP Gurpreet Singh reached the spot. He said that the CCTV cameras installed in the area are being scanned. The accused will be arrested soon. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. At present, the police are collecting various clues from the crime scene.
