Patiala News: While solving the case of the murder of contractor Darshan Kumar Singla in broad daylight on Thursday in Patiala, the police arrested the accused in less than 24 hours. According to the police, the accused is also a contractor, who had a business rivalry with Darshan Singla for the last five years. Due to this, he hatched a conspiracy and carried out the murder.
The police recovered the motorcycle used in the incident and a 32 bore licensed revolver from the accused. At around 9.40 am on Thursday, contractor Darshan Kumar Singla resident of Sunam district Sangrur along with his son Sherry was sitting in the car in the office of his SS service provider company located in Yadvindra Enclave area market on Nabha road. As soon as he got out of the car, a motorcyclist opened fire on him.
Meanwhile, the contractor died due to five bullets. Two of these bullets hit the contractor in the head, two in the stomach and one in the back. Darshan Singla mainly worked on contract in PRTC and other government departments.
