Bureau Report: NIA has now taken a major action against Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. The agency has seized all Pannu’s properties. The property located in Sector 15 of Chandigarh has been achatted. Apart from this, Pannu’s ancestral land in Khankot village of Amritsar has also been confiscated. The NIA applied to the court to acquire the property, which has been approved. Pannu’s house number 2033 in Sector 15 of Chandigarh has been raided many times before, no one lives in it. Now a board of the court decision has been placed outside this room that it has been attached by the NIA. This action against Pannu has been taken under the UAPA Act.

On April 5, 2020, NIA registered a case against Pannu. Apart from UAPA, a case was registered against Pannu under Sections 124 A, 153 A, 153 B, Section 18 and 19 for illegal activities. The case was being heard in the court for a long time. NIA had presented many such evidences against Pannu in the court in which it was told that Pannu is making a big conspiracy against India.
Earlier, Canada has also become tough against Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. After Canadian Prime Minister Justice Trudeau’s statement on Nijhar, SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu threatened Canadian Hindus to leave the country. After this threat, the Hindus of Canada asked the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to take strict action against Pannu, after which it had an effect. Yesterday, Canada’s Defense Minister Dominick said that we will take strict action against those who create an environment of fear and hatred. They have no place in our country.
On the other hand, former Defense Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan has also described the video as wrong. He said asking Hindus to leave the country is an attack on freedom. This cannot be justified at any cost.
On the other hand, NDP MP Jagmeet Singh has given a message to the Hindus on his social media handle that Canada is your home and you deserve to live here. The MP said in his message to the Hindus that we all Canadian citizens have compassion and kindness. . No one who suggests or says otherwise can limit our values of inclusion in Canada.
