HSGPC Act 2023 Pass in Haryana Caninet: Haryana Cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday. After this, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the SOP for three state police awards has been approved in the meeting. Winners of the Chief Minister Bravery Medal, Home Minister Outstanding Investigation Medal and DGP Uttam Seva Medal will be given cash prizes, certificates and scrolls. These medal winners will also be given the benefit of extension of service for six months.

Also, the official spokesperson said that the tenure of the ad hoc committee formed to manage and monitor the affairs of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee is going to end after 18 months. Due to which it has become mandatory to hold gurdwara elections in Haryana to select the members of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and for this purpose it is necessary to make related rules.

He said that to provide better autonomous management and effective monitoring of Sikh Gurdwaras and Gurdwara properties in Haryana, the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara (Management) Act, 2014 was enacted by the state on 14 July 2024 through notification.

The Haryana Sikh Gurdwara (Management) Act, 2014 was challenged by filing a writ petition in the Supreme Court. In the said petition, the Supreme Court through its order dated August 7, 2014 directed that status quo be maintained by all concerned in relation to Gurdwaras.

  • One Chief Minister’s Gallantry Medal, 10 Home Minister’s Distinguished Investigation Medals and 10 DGP Uttam Seva Medals will be awarded in a calendar year. The Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Act 2023 has been approved by the Cabinet.
  • Approved by changing the income criteria of widow and destitute women’s pension scheme and amending old age honorarium scheme for beneficiaries above 60 years of age.
  • According to the new amendments, after completing the age of 60 years, a woman will get the benefit under the old age honorarium scheme.
  • Beneficiary’s income from all sources is ensured to be less than 3 lakhs per annum.
  • Haryana Panchayati Raj Nigam approved the amendment in 1995.
  • The Panchayati Raj Rules 1995 were amended to include Section 28A.
  • Works coming under the purview of Panchayati Raj will also be done on the recommendation of the State Government.
  • Haryana Micro and Small Enterprise Facilitation Council Rules 2023 approved.
