Bureau Report: Mukhtiyar Singh Bhullar, a big name in the Kabaddi game of Punjab, has passed away. Mukhtiyar Singh of Dhillwa area of Kapurthala was living in Italy for three years. According to the family, Mukhtar died due to heart attack. It is being told that at night when Bhullar was lying down, he suddenly got pain in his chest and died. The deceased player was a member of the Punjab and Europe team and was considered a very tough player. His fellow players and family members in Italy still cannot believe that Mukhtiar Singh Bhullar is no more in this world.
Fellow players say that Mukhtiar Singh had a very good nature, he was a tough open kabaddi player. He often used to play for Chacha Lakhan’s Padda team in Punjab. In Europe, he played for the Italian team. It is being told that Mukhtiar Singh had 2 daughters and he shifted to Italy for a better future.
A good player named Harbhajan Bhajna also died due to drug addiction in Khokhar village of Muktsar a few days ago. He was trapped in the circle of white. Not only these, he was the only child of his parents. The deceased had a wife and 2 children. The children were young, he had gone from home with his friends, when they did not return till late at night, the family complained to the police station and the next day his body was found. It seemed that he died of drug overdose. The family had alleged that drugs were widely sold in the area but the police were unaware.
