Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has announced that Sikh youth Nirmaljit Singh, who was arrested after the death of a woman who committed a heinous act of drinking at Gurdwara Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib Patiala, will be given legal help by the committee.

This announcement was made by Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami. In a statement issued by the Office of the Shiromani Committee, Advocate Dhami said that the religious sentiments of the devotees are connected with the Gurdwara Sahibs, which no one can bear to be hurt. Accordingly, Nirmaljit Singh has taken this action in the rush of emotions. Shiromani Committee stands with Nirmaljit Singh and his family and is committed to legal assistance.

The Shiromani Committee president said that the Shiromani Committee is also providing support for the treatment of a devotee who was injured during this incident. He has been given assistance of 50 thousand rupees only yesterday and more assistance will be given as per requirement.
