The Governor, who arrived in Amritsar on a visit to the border states, said that the drug situation in Punjab is a cause for concern. Governor Purohit said that the situation in Punjab is bad due to drugs. There is a need to strengthen the police stations in Punjab. The governor said that everyone in the village knows who is doing what. In such a situation, there is a need to form security committees to prevent drug addiction. He advised the police not to work under any kind of pressure and to eliminate drugs. The Governor’s hint was about the removal of the SSP of Tarn Taran on the complaint of the AAP MLA somewhere last month.
50 percent increase in drug
Governor Purohit clarified that coordination of all agencies is essential. This can solve all problems. The amount of drug has increased by 50 percent. Security committees have been formed. People’s cooperation is very important in villages.

Governor Purohit said that women have started a movement to end drug addiction, drug is coming from all sides. Drugs were also coming from Jammu which has been caught by the Punjab Police. Why was SSP Gurmeet Chauhan of Tarn Taran changed, he has asked CM Bhagwant Mann. He said that the government is not calling the assembly session after asking them. The governor said that no one is above the law, my job is to make the government work properly.
