The central government has increased the minimum support price of paddy. Giving information, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the Union Cabinet has approved the increased minimum support price for kharif crops for the marketing season 2023-24.

He said that this step is to ensure remunerative prices to the producers for their produce and promote crop diversification.

The Cabinet has increased the MSP of paddy by Rs 143 for 2023-24. The MSP of paddy has been increased from 2040 to 2183 per quintal. MSP of Moong has been increased the most.
