A surprising case has come to light in Ludhiana. Policeman Manpreet was admitted to the hospital after being bitten by a poisonous insect. The family members claim that the hospital staff told them that Manpreet had died. When they were taking his body in the ambulance for post-mortem, the fellow policemen felt that there was movement in Manpreet’s body and his pulse was also running. On the other hand, the hospital doctor has denied the allegations of the family. They claimed that Manpreet has been handed over alive to the family. It was definitely said that there was no hope of his survival.
This is the claim of the family
According to Ramji, the doctor told him that if his son was taken off the ventilator, he would die within 3 minutes. According to the father, at around 2.30 in the night, the hospital staff informed him that his son had died. The hospital administration asked them to hand over the dead body at 9 am.
A pulse was found while being taken for post-mortem
Ramji said that Manpreet is a government employee, his postmortem was to be done, when he was being kept in the ambulance with the help of other policemen, suddenly one of the employees came to know that Manpreet’s pulse was running. He immediately took his son to DMC Hospital by forcing the hospital administration to keep an oxygen cylinder in the ambulance. Now Manpreet’s condition is stable in DM. He is being treated.
The hospital administration denied the allegations
Dr. Sahil of AIIMS Bassi Hospital said that when the patient Manpreet came to him, his kidney was failing. His condition was very bad due to several disturbances in his BP. Manpreet’s family members did not tell them that their son had been bitten by a poisonous insect.
He only said that his son had injuries on his leg and arm. The arm was completely burnt. There were injection marks all over the arm. Dr. Sahil said that the veins in the arm are blocked. At 12 o’clock in the night, he told Manpreet’s father that his son was not in a condition to survive.
We have not even given the essence of death
The family asked to take him in the morning. According to Dr. Sahil, neither he nor any of his staff have said anything to the family about Manpreet’s death. The patient has been sent back alive from the hospital and his staff have given the patient a proper oxygen cylinder and discharged him to the DMC.
