He said that these trophies with a height of more than five feet have been specially prepared so that the players are motivated for the best sports performance at the team level to get them and even after hoisting the victory flag, these trophies are constantly held by those players. Aman Arora said that 207 teams of Halka Sunam have registered for this Khel Kumbh, under which 2037 players will try their luck by showing their sports skills in different categories. He said that every player participating in these games will be given a T-shirt specially prepared for this Super League.
Aman Arora said that the foundation created in the name of Babu Bhagwan Das Arora has been doing various works as a public service for the past many years and for the first time a sports tournament is being organized on such a large scale. He said that provision has been made to connect the children and youth with sports, in the direction of which this sports program has been designed, for the success of which the cooperation of all is necessary.
The Cabinet Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Mann, Khel Kumbh was organized under the ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Ki’ in the past months in which millions of sportsmen participated enthusiastically, after which each of Sunam’s Cultivation of players in every street has started whereby thousands of players will participate in these games to be held at Shaheed Mati Das Senior Secondary School Longowal and express their sports talent in volleyball shooting, volleyball smashing and tug-of-war.
He said that the winning teams will be awarded with a cash amount of 21 thousand rupees for the first prize, 11 thousand rupees for the second prize and 51 hundred rupees for the third prize. He said that Padma Shri Kaur Singh and Padma Shri Sunita Rani will be specially honored for their distinguished achievements.
