The accident happened to the family of Phagwara who went to Australia, 3 people died due to drowning in the sea.

3 people from Punjab died in Australia. All three belonged to the same family. They came to visit Phillip Island. Here the seashore washed up in the waves while bathing. Out of which 3 people died and one was saved. Among the dead are women related to Phagwara. She has been identified as Reema Sondhi.

The woman's family member Deepak Sondhi said that her sister-in-law Reema Sondhi and brother Sanjeev Sondhi had gone to visit relatives in Australia for a holiday. On Thursday, they received information that Reema has died due to drowning. Deepak Sondhi said that her brother Sanjeev was also present with Reema at the time of the incident. Sanjeev narrowly escaped drowning in the murky water.

According to the information received, this incident is on January 24. The police said that they received information about people drowning on Phillip Island at around three o'clock in the evening. On receiving the information, the rescue team reached the spot. The team pulled out three women and one man from the water. After this, efforts were made to revive everyone by giving CPR, but all three were declared dead on the spot.
