Giving information at Civil Hospital Tarn Taran, relatives Gurlal Singh, Virpal Singh, Ajit Singh, Angrej Singh, Balbir Singh jointly said that Kanwaljit Kaur (35) was riding a motorcycle with her husband Gurbhaj Singh (37), resident of Manochahl Kalan. They were going to the village to meet a relative. When they reached Nowshera Pannuan on the National Highway, the motorcycle was hit hard by a speeding Swift car coming from behind.

During this terrible collision, Kanwaljit Kaur died on the spot, while Gurbhaj Singh was seriously injured and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. He said that the deceased Kanwaljit Kaur has left behind three daughters and one son, while the condition of Gurbhaj Singh is said to be critical.

Kanwaljit Roy, head of police station Sarhali, said that the body of the deceased has been taken into custody and the search for the absconding accused has been started. He said that the accused had left their car on the spot after the accident, which has been taken into possession.
