UPSC exam in ludhiana

Examination for the post of EO, Accounts Officer (AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Officer will be held today at 42 centers in Ludhiana. More than 13000 candidates have registered for the exam. This exam is being conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The exam will be held in two shifts, morning and afternoon. The EO and AO officer exam will be held from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. On the other hand, the exam for Assistant Provident Fund Officer will be held from 2 PM to 4 PM.

A center has been set up at the Government College for Girls for specially qualified candidates. Other centers where the exams will be held include Satish Chandra Dhawan College, Arya College, SDP College for Women, Nankana Sahib Public School Gill Road, RS Model Senior Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Gujranwala Khalsa College Police DAV School among others.

The authorities have made strict security arrangements at the centres. Assistant Commissioner Upinderjit Kaur Brar said that 1160 employees will be on duty on the day of the examination. He said that one supervisor will be on duty at each centre. An inspection officer will be on duty at each center along with investigating police officers to maintain vigilance.

He said that guidelines have been issued for students regarding mobile phones and other electronic devices. All centers will have cell phone jammers and uninterrupted power supply. Candidates have to come with their e-admit card one hour before the morning and afternoon examination.
