Special DGP Arpit Shukla Hoshiarpur (Hoshiarpur) and SBS Has visited the city regarding stubble burning cases. A red alert has been issued in all the districts of the state and special orders have been issued to the authorities on stubble burning cases. In the meantime, talks are being held with those farmers and other different organizations and informed about the harm of stubble burning. Strict steps are being taken by the administration to ensure the compliance of the Supreme Court directives.
He said that the officials have been instructed to contact various concerned parties including the farmers to make them aware about the adverse effects of stubble burning. He also said that everyone has been informed here whether this is also a violation of the law and action will be taken against them. The Special DGP appealed to the farmers to cooperate in this work and not to burn stubble. He said that this not only spoils the environment but also affects the health of children.
Arpit Shukla Hoshiarpur and SBS. They had come on a visit to take stock of stubble burning cases in Nagar districts. He informed that all DSP and SHO has been asked to talk to sarpanches and farmers’ leaders. He said that stubble burning has become a big problem not only for urban people but for every person.
It may be mentioned that DGP Gaurav Yadav had appointed Special DGP Arpit Shukla as Police Nodal Officer to supervise the action against stubble burning.
