A terrible fire broke out in a chemical factory located in Daba area of Ludhiana. A fire broke out in the printing press located on the first floor of the factory. The cause of the accident is said to be heater short of the machine. Smoke and flames rising from the factory could be seen from a distance. The nearby factory owners tried hard to put out the fire with the help of the workers, but the situation could not be controlled. After this, people informed the fire brigade.
The fire brigade controlled the fire
The fire brigade personnel who reached the incident site have completely sealed the building and the area. No one was allowed to go near the chemical factory. Fire brigade personnel took help from nearby buildings and entered the factory to douse the fire.
The fire was brought under control with the help of about 3 to 4 water vehicles. No one was present in the factory when the fire broke out.
Fire caused by cardboard and press board powder
People nearby the factory said that there was press board cardboard and some powder at the place of fire. Due to which the fire broke out. At present, the investigation has revealed that the heater of one of the machines was shorted. Due to which the fire broke out. The printing machine was completely reduced to ashes. Drums of chemicals were also found at the scene of the incident.
