According to the information received, a young man from Jalandhar died of a heart attack in America. The deceased has been identified as Damanjot Singh, resident of village Padhyana. Damanjot had gone to America just 6 months ago and there is also news that his family had taken a loan of 40 lakhs and sent him abroad. The family hoped that Damanjot would go abroad and earn money and pay off the debt, but God had something else in mind.
On September 20, Damanjot’s family received a call that he had died of a heart attack. The deceased was the only son of Damanjot parents. Due to the untimely death of the son, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire village and the family and a mountain of grief has fallen on the family members.
Baljit Singh, the numberedar of the village, said that Damanjot Singh was the only son of the family. He said that efforts are being made to bring the dead body of Damanjot Singh from America. Relatives abroad and the US Embassy in India are being contacted.
