Body positivity started with black fat people. After which it was said to represent overweight people. Tanvi explains, “Body positivity is a movement for all those who face body shaming of any kind. Then whether they are overweight or underweight.

All the zero size models are underweight and people want to be like them. People who are over weight are always considered unfit. They don’t get chance in many types of jobs, they are called ugly. So overweight people have to face discrimination or body shaming somewhere.

being fat doesn’t mean being unhealthy

Tanvi tells that society always considers people as unhealthy and unfit. That’s why people who start getting a little fat become demotivated. Tanvi told that despite being overweight, she is completely fit. Every time she gets a body checkup done, her reports fit perfectly.

From this, people should understand that being fat does not mean that you are unhealthy or unfit. If you exercise daily, do not do it thinking that you have to be thin. Rather do it thinking that you have to stay fit. If you think that being fat is bad and try to be thin, then people around you will also think the same about you.

Body shaming happens in movies too

Tanvi told the reason behind dancing to Besharam Rang song in bikini that she wanted to tell people that people who are over weight can also look like the main character. Can dance, can keep the same attitude. Tanvi told that she likes to copy such Bollywood songs since childhood.

According to Tanvi, whenever a film is made, a fat person is never shown as the main character in it. He will be in the background or a villain or a friend or an angry aunty.

Why girls take approval on weight

Gaining weight is very difficult especially for girls. They have to listen a lot about this thing in the society. Tanvi says on this that girls never need to take approval from anyone about their small things. They themselves have to be so confident that they don’t ask anything from others about their things. You first need to understand that you are fine the way you are, you don’t need to change yourself when someone tells you to.

Talent is not dependent on weight and size

At last Tanvi says that being fat or thin doesn’t matter. Work on yourself, on increasing your knowledge, on your health, on making yourself advanced. Whatever the world has to say, they will speak. But the change in thinking has to start from ourselves. You have to make yourself beautiful with knowledge, nature more than your body, only then this thinking can end.
