Advocate Harvinder Singh Phoolka, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court met Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Sri Akal Takht along with his colleagues.

Meanwhile, he appealed to the Jathedar to direct the farmers to plant paddy through natural methods to prevent the ground water level from going down further.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Harvinder Singh Phoolka said that he has appealed to the Jathedar that it is necessary to save the water of Punjab to save its existence. He said that due to excessive use of water during the sowing of crops, the underground water level is falling, out of which more water is being used for the paddy crop.

Meanwhile, some agricultural experts who accompanied him informed the Jathedar about the new methods of sowing paddy through natural farming. With which not only excessive use of underground water can be prevented but also poison free farming can be done. Agriculture expert Dr. Avtar Singh said that Jathedar Harpreet Singh has given a positive response in this matter and assured all possible support.
