SGPC appealed to PTC to continue broadcasting Gurbani

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has appealed to the managers of PTC channel to continue broadcasting Gurbani until their satellite channel is established, in view of the sentiments of the Sikh community regarding the transmission of Gurbani from Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and as per the order given by the Jathedar Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Shiromani Committee General Secretary Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal said in a statement that since the contract of PTC channel is ending on July 23, Shiromani Committee will start broadcasting service of Gurbani on its YouTube/web channel from July 24, but on the demand of the Sangats all over the world, Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib

The Shiromani Committee has been ordered to continue the broadcasting service through a channel until it establishes its own channel.

The Shiromani Committee appreciates this order of the Jathedar Sahib and the sentiments of the Sangat, according to which the Shiromani Committee president, after consulting with Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, has asked the PTC to continue the broadcasting service for the time being.

He said that Shiromani Committee is making great efforts to establish its web channel as well as satellite channel soon. Regarding this, the Information and Broadcasting Minister has been written to and asked to give time to the Shiromani Committee delegation, so that necessary action can be initiated.

He said that the Shiromani Committee will start broadcasting Gurbani from Amrit Vele on July 24 through YouTube/web channel, in which connection Sri Akhand Path Sahib will be offered on July 23 to take refuge from Guru Sahib. Invitation letters have been sent to panthic organizations and prominent personalities to attend this event. On this occasion, Senior Vice President of Shiromani Committee.
