With announcements issued on the evening of Friday, September 1, the Ministry of Education announced the number of substitute teachers in schools for the academic year 2023-2024. His three announcements (one per category) state:
Deputies in general Education and Music Schools
Recruitment of 13,875 Primary and Secondary Education teachers, in General Education and Music Schools, as temporary substitutes with a Fixed-Term Private Law employment relationship for the academic year 2023-2024
The Ministry of Education, Religion and Sports announces that for the academic year 2023-2024 the following are hired as temporary substitutes:
In Primary Education
8,746 teachers of branches/specialties in general education.
In Secondary Education
4,898 teachers of disciplines/specialties in general education, and
192 PE79.01 and TE16 teachers in Music Schools for the teaching of music specializations
In addition, 39 substitutes of branches/specialties of Secondary Education were made available for recruitment at the Sivitanidio Public School of Arts and Vocations, by decision of the relevant Board of Directors.
Recruits must report and undertake duty from Thursday 7 to Friday 8 September 2023.
Regarding the process of placement in school units (for the cases required) and taking up service, those hired should refer to the address www.minedu.gov.gr/anaplirotes where the necessary information and clarifications have been posted
Special Education and Training as temporary substitutes
Recruitment of 9,336 Primary and Secondary Education teachers, in Special Education and Education as temporary substitutes with a fixed-term Private Law employment relationship for the academic year 2023-2024.
The Ministry of Education, Religion and Sports announces that for the academic year 2023-2024 the following are hired as temporary substitutes:
In Primary Education:
7,360 teachers of EAE branches/specialties and general education branches in special education and training (EEA) and
In Secondary Education:
1,976 teachers of EAE branches/specialties and general education branches in special education and training (EEA),
Recruits must report and undertake duty from Thursday 7 to Friday 8 September 2023.
Regarding the process of placement in school units (for the cases required) and taking up service, the recruits should refer to the address www.minedu.gov.gr/anaplirotes where the necessary information and clarifications have been posted.
Recruitment of special Educational Staff (EEP) and Special Auxiliary Staff
Recruitment of 5,142 members of Special Educational Staff (SEP) and Special Support Staff (SSP) for the academic year 2023-2024
5,142 EEP-EBP members are hired as temporary substitutes with a full-time Private Law fixed-term employment relationship for the academic year 2023-2024 as follows:
In the School Units of Special Education and Education (SMEAE) > 1,590
In Specialized Educational Support (parallel) > 2.137
In the Interdisciplinary Assessment, Counseling and Support Centers (KEDASY) > 827
In the School Educational Support Networks (SDEY) in KEDASY > 587
Also, 1 EEP member for specialized educational support was available for recruitment at the General Ecclesiastical Lyceum-Gymnasium of Neapolis.
The recruits must present themselves and undertake service from Thursday, September 7 to Friday, September 8, 2023.
