Bureau report : DGP of Punjab Gaurav Yadan has taken strict action against SHO Navdeep Singh in the case of ending the life of Dhillon brothers. After being nominated in the suicide case, SHO Navdeep Singh, who is absconding, has been dismissed. Earlier, Jalandhar Police Commissioner had also suspended Navdeep after his absconding and issued LOC against his fellow police personnel.
After the action against the SHO, the family of Dhillo brothers has agreed to cremate Jashnbir. After bringing the dead body from Sultanpur Lodhi, he was cremated in the crematorium of Model Town, Jalandhar. Jashnbir’s dead body has been cremated by father Jitendra Pal Singh. Political leaders were also present along with relatives on this occasion.
Jashnbir’s body was found buried in the soil of the field
Jashnbir and Manavjit jumped into the river Beas from the Goindwal Sahib bridge. Jashnbir’s dead body was found in the soil of the field after the flood water receded. Jashnbir’s body was kept in Civil Hospital Sultanpur Lodhi. The family said that unless SHO Navdeep is arrested and Manavjeet’s dead body is found, they will not cremate Jashnbir.
The family of the Dhillo brothers, who jumped into the Bayad river, say that SHO Navdeep Singh had removed the turban after beating up their sons. SHO Navdeep Singh had insulted the religious symbols of Sikhs. A case should be registered against him under section 295 of blasphemy. But the police did not impose section 295.
On August 16, there was an argument between the two sides regarding the family dispute in Police Station Division No. 1. Manavjit and Jagshanbir were from the girls. Meanwhile, the police threw the girls out of the police station and only invited Manavjit inside and the sound of beating was heard. When Jashnbir and other family members went inside, SHO Navdeep Singh, Munshi Balwinder Singh and woman constable Jagjit Kaur were beating Manavjit. The SHO registered a case against Manavjit for misbehaving with a woman constable and took him into custody.
After this action of the police, the younger brother Jashnbir felt very ashamed and took it to heart. The next day when Manavjit came out on bail in police custody, he came to know that Jashnbir Goinwal Sahib had reached him and told that he was going to commit suicide. Manavjit reached there with his friends. He explained a lot to the brother but he jumped into the canal and Manavjit Singh also went behind to save him.
