The matter of admission of 187 students instead of 60 nursing seats by Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh has come to light. On the complaint of the students, the police have today registered a case of fraud against 16 people including the chancellor and 11 officials of the university. The student organization Sath has announced to close the gate of the university on Monday. According to the organization, instead of registering a case against the professor, the university has filed a complaint against the students. Therefore, on September 18, Monday, the gates of the university will be closed and a protest will be held.
On Saturday, Lok Sabha member Simranjit Singh Mann also reached Punjabi University and he got information about the whole incident from the students.
