Music education was taken from Ustad Jaswant Bhamra
Before becoming a singer, he worked in Sarup Mechanical Works, Ludhiana. But he wanted to be a singer. So he quit his job and decided to become a professional singer. Chhinde took music lessons from Ustad Jaswant Bhamra. Bhamra was then a professor of music at the National College. Chhinda has released over 165 song cassettes.
