The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is going to hold a meeting today for Balwant Singh Rajoana, who is serving the death sentence in the case of the murder of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. A total of 11 Sikh organizations including Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGPC) and Damdami Taksal have been invited in this meeting.

In the meeting, a strategy will be prepared to convert Rajoana's sentence to life imprisonment. In fact, after the letter written by Balwant Singh Rajoana to Sri Akal Takht Sahib's Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh a few days ago, the Shiromani Committee has come into action.

Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib had asked SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami to meet Rajoana. After the meeting, a meeting of the Shiromani Committee was called on November 30, in which it was agreed to sit with 11 organizations and take a decision.
