SGPC asked for passports for the party going to Pakistan on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Divas

Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has asked the pilgrims for passports till December 30, 2023, while starting the process for the group to be sent to visit Gurdhams in Pakistan on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Day (Vaisakhi). Khalsa Sajna Day is to be celebrated at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib located in Pakistan, for which like every year, Shiromani Committee will send a procession of pilgrims.

Secretary of the Shiromani Committee Giving information in this regard, Pratap Singh said that a group of Sikh pilgrims will be sent to Pakistan on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Day in April 2024, which will also visit other Gurdhams located there besides participating in the main event at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib.

He said that pilgrims who wish to join this jatha can submit their passports at the Shiromani Committee office at the travel department by December 30, 2023. He said that it is necessary for pilgrims to get a recommendation from the Shiromani Committee members of their respective constituencies and along with this a photocopy of Aadhaar card or voter card should also be given as proof of their identity. He appealed to the devotees to submit their passports before the given time, so that the visa process can be processed on time.
